Google has two Walkstations!

One is thanks to [info]zudini. Cool. Here's the product page. I had a sort of similar setup at home: a recumbent exercise bike w/ a special laptop stand, but didn't end up using it much. The stand wasn't great, and biking is somewhat distracting.

Somehow, while I am not a fan of long, repetitive cardio (like jogging), I am a fan of long, repetitive cardio (like walking while working, AKA "Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis"). Maybe there's some cognitive dissonance, or maybe they are really different. I don't feel like thinking about it :).

I would be more impressed if it was an exercise bike that powered the laptop.

Doesn't Ed Bagley Jr. do something like that where he has to ride a bike for an hour to get a cup of coffee brewed?

Any idea on the price (notably absent from the website)? I've been thinking for a while that such a thing would be excellent for me, but I don't already own a treadmill and I don't want to start a moderately expensive DIY project only to get bored half way through. I'm also not sure I'd actually like using it, so I should clearly either find a local vendor with one in stock or come visit you fine folks and try out Adam's.

I looked a bit and couldn't find one. Let me know if you find it.

Engadget claims $6500, which is a bit pricey for me.
