Most Instant Messenger users broadcast when they sign on, sign off, go idle, and flag themselves as away. This presence information is typically innocuous, useful for knowing if your buddies are available to chat. But when monitored continuously, over long time periods, those few signals tell a lot. This website lets you record and analyze anybody's IM activity.

Unfortunately, they got their timezone field's comment wrong. "UTC-5 is EDT". I don't know why it bugs me so much when people get that wrong, but grr.

that's cool I like the graph, and would be easy to extend to calendaring..and scheduling and stalking etc.

It's kind of scary, although if you leave your IM on all the time . . . not really. Not that mine has been on at all these days.
