I've been watching lots of the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers today - almost caught up. The intro narration to every show consists of nothing but tropes, said in a wise and compelling voice from a narrator who never looks at the camera, and the first season is mostly Origin Stories for the protagonists. So I thought...I'm a protagonist...I'm a Super Hero...maybe I should have a trope-ridden origin story! I kinda do, actually:

Despite my Heroic Lineage, I resisted joining the forces of freedom in the war against Evil (aka Obstructive Bureaucrats) for a full decade, but it's In The Blood that I am a Chosen One, Because Destiny Says So. I'm part of La Resistance against The Federation, I'm the Rebel Leader with the rugged good looks.

Guess Pennsic was my First Town, after that I Saved the Princess (my wife Shannon) and now I am The Pioneer gathering a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits (Seasteaders!!) to Save The World by being Determined Home(sea)steaders who someday form An Alliance.

I must hope to Set Right What Once Went Wrong (government) in a sort of generational Groundhog Day Loop". Fortunately, I have Superpowerful Genetics, my mom didn't worry I would Turn Out Like His Father, although I did have to say "Tell Me About My Father...and Grandfather". Never had a formal Take Up The Sword Moment, and dunno if I'll ever Pass The Torch to Tovar or Iselle.
